UCN Week in Review – Where’s Ward(o)?

Oh, boxing, let’s face it.  You are as compelling outside of the ropes as you are inside the ring.  Sure, we love when two masters of The Sweet Science step into the ring and put on a show.  Hell, we love it when two guys who don’t know technique but know how to let their hands go.  The sport, however, is nothing if not for its characters and storylines.

We were reminded of this again this week when Kathy Duva was spitting mad into the UCN microphone condemning Roc Nation and Andre Ward for failing to show up to, acknowledge, or allow fight tickets to go on sale at the opening press conference to announce Kovalev-Ward on November 19.  As the week went on the parties passed through the impasse (we think) and we expect a fight to take place in Vegas at the T-Mobile Arena shortly before we sit down for Turkey Day.

It may be August, but even in the dog days, boxing is rarely boring.  Here is the best of the week at the Undisputed Champion Network.
